    • Investigate yourself. Be empirical and test every statement with your own experience
  • don’t cling to anything and don’t reject anything
    • Let go
    • Accept everything that arises
      • Be gentle with yourself
      • View all problems as challenges
  • Don’t dwell on contrasts (e.g. differences between people). Don’t compare. Notice similarities.
    • e.g. breathing is a universal process
    • differences do exist but de-emphasize contrasts and emphasize universal factors
