- Brief and limit to one idea per note.
- Think of each note as a card. All cards can be put in a small box.
- Use own language since this facilitates understanding.
- This makes sure that it is truly understand AND can comfortably explain it to other people
- Keep the reference.
- Especially important at this time where misinformation and information without credible source is widespread

- Use full sentences. Since we don’t necessarily publish papers, and bulletpoints are more favored in modern documentation
- Use a number of tools (e.g. pen+paper for quick capture, one web clipper, one app for managing everything), since certain modern apps can satisfy all needs with 1 tool. Notion is a good candidate so far due to bidirectional linking, available on mobile, has web clipper and mobile share sheet. Other options are Obsidian, Roam Research, etc.
