Tips for becoming a runner

  1. Do not debate yourself whether to run, just run
  1. 20min is just 1.3% of a day
  1. don't change a bunch of habits at once, it's ok to get up late
  1. it sucks at beginning, you get freedom after a while.
  1. run outside, better find a a loop trail
  1. sign up for an event, it's like the boss in a video game
  1. don't think ahead, it's "practiced stoicism": pain is neither friend or enemy, it's a neighbor
  1. think of running as being an addict but socially acceptable
  1. think of it as asserting control over hurt/torment. not fixing them but owning them.
